According to the World Health Organization (WHO) new report, world's 90% population are breathing polluted air. Poor countries are most affected compare to developed countries.
There are some part of the Americas and Europe has less contaminated air than those areas in Asia.
According to the study there are three capital city especially New Delhi of India, Cairo of Egypt and Beijing of China are the most polluted cities in the world.
Most surprisingly, 14 cities of India are also affected.
Kamya, a Newdelhi student said that "this is shameful for us and it should open our eyes now and we should, instead of using vehicles, we can ride a bicycle, we can walk."
The India's Centre for Science and Environment's director of Pollution and Clean transport Anumita Roy Chodhury said that they are developing a national clean-air action plan to deal with air pollution.
WHO said that there are 7 million of world's population passed away due to contaminated or polluted air which resulting in stroke, heart disease, lung cancer and respirastery infections.
Dr. Maria Neira from World Health Organization said that it is unacceptable that 7 million people die from air pollution each year because they cannot access clean energy and are resorted to whatever sources of unclean solid fuels they can for cooking, warming or lighting which eventually ending up harming their health.
Recently world's leaders have ratified Paris Accord to reduce greenhouse gas which will minimize global warming by 2%, however, some of the world leaders are not abide by this agreement arguing it will hurt their economy especially Trump Government.
Some instances of environmental impacts are rising sea level and flush flooding in those low lying countries and those who practice slush and burn agriculture around the world and those are in Pacific Ocean. More drought and starvation in Africa and more drought and bush fire in Australia.
So global communities are using whatever means they can to minimize environmental impact by reuse, recycle, stop using plastic, as there are new researches break through which can break down plastic, using nature products which can be dissolved naturally or using clean renewable energy sources or bio-fuels to electric cars.
Some of the developed countries have implemented no vehicle in cities namely some European countries like Germany after it's auto maker Volkswagen diesel cheating diesel cars.
But more importantly, civil societies including researchers and scientists are urging global government to adopt polices base on research facts. #
