Don't let embarrassment from doing a cervical cancer screening test kill you.

New research from the Australian Cervical Cancer Foundation found that half of Australian's women are not up-to-date with their cervical cancer screening and about a quarter of them are still too embarrassed to get the test done. Moreover, they are still confused and don't understand about changes to screening tests. However, we can prevent this illness by vaccination and do the screening tests.

There are already 951 cases diagnosed and 256 dies from this disease in 2019, while the World Health Organization (WHO) said, 2018 there were around 570,000 cases of cervical cancer and 90% of those women who died from this illness reside in low or middle-income countries.

More information about the screening test can be found at  www.cancerscreening.gov.au  or by calling 13 15 56 or check for more information about HPV and cervical cancer at http://cancerscreening.gov.au/internet/screening/publishing.nsf/Content/about-HPV-and-cervical-cancer
