Each and every individual of us can help dealing with climate change.

Recent report from The United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change ((IPCC)) has sited more than 6,000 scientific researches that if people can reduce global warming to 1.5 degree it will benefits not just the earth Eco-system but the world population as well.

This reports has made many Australians wondering how can consumers can be part of climate change solutions. However, some still believe that government should take more active roles than the current situations.

And IPCC said that if Australia stop using coals by 2040 and global warming can be reduced to 1.5 degrees Australian Great Barrier Reef can still be saved, but earth population need to make huge changes to their lifestyles.

The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) said that there are many ways that people can be part of this solutions.

IPCC's report has made clear that we need to change many areas namely, we need energy smart homes. This means that we need solar energy from our roof top that can generate clean electricity. Or we should turn to renewable energy sources that generate clean energy and use more clean fuel in our cars. And as summer time is closing in, we need to close our house properly so our house are not too hot so we don't incur to much electricity bills.

Ms Rictcher from the WWF said that consumers behavior can influence businesses to change as they are those who spend money to drive economy. Therefore this will make businesses pay more attention toward climate change or clean energy or renewable energy, and set long term goals to achieve it. But most importantly, government should take their leadership roles.

Despites the IPCC's report is so alarming, the current Queensland government will not stop its coal mining industry to save Australian Great Barrier Reef. And the Morrison government also claimed that it is has met it emission reduction target by 26%  therefore it will not renew or replace it current Renewable Energy Target by 2020. Mr. Morrison still said that there are other countries that need urgent action more than Australia does.

Therefore 350.org's CEO Glen Klativsky said that Australian government is failing its duties and said that it is so shameful that the current Australian government still think that we can coexist with the world and think differently that it is okay. But we need to persuade our government and hope that they change their mind before the next election. Even now in the year 2018 Australia still does not have its national climate change policy.

The UN has suggested that some nations will take the plunge more than others in terms of climate change particularly island states, the Mediterranean and the sub-Sahara Africa who are suffering now will suffer even worse if global warming is not dealt with.#
