10 things you should know why older people are being abused and their rights are not respected:
1. Globally there are up to 10% of older people who were abused and did not report.
2. Elder abuse either once or repeated incidents, being neglected, lack of care, make them feel hopeless and distrust others can actually contribute to anxiety and depression.
3. Elder abuse can take many forms either physical abuse, psychological abuse, financial abuse, and neglect, or lacks of proper care.
