Funds and measures to help residential tenants and commercial lessees during COVID-19 pandemic

Tenants' and landlords' rights and obligations during the COVID-19 outbreak.


The Australian government says that it will not allow landlords to evict tenants and rental fees will be freeze for 6 months during COVID-19 pandemic, however concerned parties need to talk about how they are going to services the rent. Negotiation between the two must be carried out to find solutions to deal with how can tenants can or cannot pay and how much can they pay if they may have lost their jobs or their income was reduced compared to the time prior to coronavirus outbreak. So there is help from related agencies and from the Australian government during this time.

Each state and territory governments have also announced millions of dollars to help both tenants and landlords to deal with rental fees during this difficult time, please check Tenants Unions in your state.
