Ms. Viengsavang Lorbliayao is the owner of beauty salon in Brisbane called Pacific Beauty Studio.
She told SBS that she has the passion and love beauty and it is much for easier for her to pursue her passion and be her own boss than working for other people.
Ms. Lorbliayao said that she has competed her certificate III as beautician and she can train her own staffs.
In her studio, it provides many different services namely nail, waxing, facial and full body massage services as well as beauty products.
So there are two different sections in her studio. One is nail services only. Most of her staffs who are responsible for these duties are Hmong ladies who have completed certificate III in nail beauty but they cannot handle other beauty duties except doing nails.
The other part of her businesses are beauty, which include waxing, facial and full body massage which she and the rest of her staffs will take care.
Ms. Lorbliayao said that if anyone want to get into beauty businesses, they must first complete certificate III in their specific fields. Setting up this business is not hard and it depends on how much do you want to invest. If you legally got your business permission and license from local and state governments and follow business rules and regulations in this industries, you can do it.
She said that this profession is no just limited to women, men can also work in this industry.
