During coronavirus pandemic, most of businesses are struggling and some have to closed down, even those who survive could not make their bottom line. However, caravan business has a different story. "It is actually booming due to people want to use caravan for picnic or tour," said Dou Yang the owner of Brilliant Caravan. He shares his insight with SBS Radio Hmong program why.

Dou Yang is the owner of Brilliant Caravan says ''working for yourself is better than working for others but there are also many challenges that you need to navigate too."

He says ''It is quite difficult during coronavirus pandemic due to labor shortage because you can't finish order on due date as customers want."

However, the flip side of this says Yang, is during this time ''It is actually a very fortunate time for caravan business." It is because people want caravan for picnic or travelling. So it is a very good time for business, meanwhile other types of businesses are suffering.

Dou Yang says there are challenges in this business but due to the know how of how to build these caravan along with the upfront bonds or upfront payment in sales, he is pretty happy with his business. Another matter is that he has his own fund to invest into this business so he doesn't have to worry about paying interest to any banks.

Last but not least, it is wonderful that I can hire some one from my community to help out compare to finding employment with businesses you don't know about.
