Hmong Vietnamese refugee recently arrived in Australia

The Boat People SOS director and CEO Dr. Thang Dinh Nguyen shared his insight into Vietnamese refugees especially a Hmong Vietnamese refugee family who has arrived recently in Australia. He explained why are they being recognised as refugee in Thailand though the state does not rectify the UN Convention on Refugee 1951 and its 1967 Protocol which would see anyone entering Thailand without proper documents as illegal immigrants. Here are some of the reasons why some of the Vietnamese refugees in Thailand are being resettled in some of the Western countries including Australia and New Zealand.
