Phillip Kue resided previously in Oregan who currently study at State University in Ohio says that the reason why he got into wrestling is that his dad is also a wrestler while he was still in high school, therefore his dad encourages him and his younger brother to do wrestling since they are still in kindergarten and he has been wrestling since then.
"I have my ups and downs, however, it's got me to where I am now and I am more than grateful for it," says Mr. Kue.
Initially, Mr. Kue was not really into it, but after he got to grade 5 when his parents got him to an elite wrestling class back in Oregon and year 8 that he put more effort and hard work into it, he then realized that he was pretty good at it. By training hard every day, he was able to win a couple of state tournaments including at the national level.
"I didn't start at the top, so I have to build up and every day I practice and the result was on the top, in the first place, and being place high up at some tournament. You may probably know that I am three-time state champions and winning at the national level where I also came second, so this third title is pretty big to me," says Mr. Kue. That's is the Threestyle Wrestling (COBRA ALL-STARS) tournament in Oregon.

Wrestling will teach you different things, it will teach you life lesson, it will teach you how to defend yourself, it will do a lot of things for a person and I think that it has also done something for me. For me being where I am at right now, I want kids or anyone to look up to me and want to be better. In the Hmong community there is not a lot of support toward martial art especially wrestling because people says it's too much contact, but there is more than that, there is life lession where it can teach kids to be disciplined and to be humble and I think that those are the things that keep driving me to be where I am here right now, says Mr Kue.

However, he is also looking forward to going for a couple of big tournaments like some senior tournament at the national level and even if it is possible to go for the Olympic trials.
Currently, he is still focusing on his academics which major in education.
In the future, I want to be a teacher and a wrestling coach, I love to share my knowledge with kids, says Mr. Kue.
Mr. Kue also adds that for his future goals he would like to set up wrestling classes or schools as well.
If anyone wants to get into martial arts go for it, all it takes is a little bit effort to be great at something, says Mr. Kue.
