Due to there is not much supports for freelance professional from all walks of life, triggering this idea of setting up a platform for freelancers namely self-employed, small business owners, or contractors. It is a place where different freelance professionals come together to share their business ideas, share their experience, upgrade their skills, know the cash flow, stay up to date to current market and employment, network among themselves or with businesses and tap into hidden business opportunity.

In this festival there will be speakers who are experts in their fields whether women media, freelance journalist, cyber safety for journalists and technical skills in creating podcasts, media training and creating or editing simple video. So freelancers skills are current.

Susan Bell said that we need to recognize that in the Gig economy, there will be some short term employment. So we need to prepare ourselves so we can cop during intermittent period, as traditional professions might not be the norm in the near future. Therefore, we need to do everything we can to stay on top of our games and be ready to jump on board when opportunity exist.
