Ms. La Vang Herr has 18 years fundraising experiences and has raised USD 50 million for American community.
She said that in order to raised funds from businesses or grants from government for community projects, community missions, visions, action plans need to be clear if such project will benefits communities and attract businesses investment to local businesses or create programs that the local community needed. Moreover, knowing how to write submission papers, having the courage to talk, discuss communities issues, communities needs, communicating, networking as well as presenting a clear picture of what the community wants will sure to secured funds or grants.
But according to what Ms. La Vang Herr has observed, there are less and less funds and grants for community projects. And Trump administration has also announced cuts to community projects which worries American communities, but Ms. La said that it is still a long way of until such legislation take effects for this cuts.
