This week SBS reportor Dr. Houa Yang has important news from the world.
Firstly it is about US-Russia relationship and US withdrew from the Strategic Offensive Reductions Treaty that the US and Russia signed in Moscow on 24 May 2002.
While US National Security John Bolton visit Russia, White House assigned him to hand an invitation to Mr. Putin to visit America after the US has withdrew due to the accusation that Russia has move and its Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles to many different places, after NATO move it soldiers to its eastern European neighbors.
Mr. Putin has retaliated this incident with ordering Russia to build it's nuclear capacities in order to handle the US missile systems and has launched its new missiles boasting that no missile system can intercept or destroy.
However, Mr. Putin has yet to respond to the US government if he will visit the White House after a lot of incidents has happened between these two nuclear powers countries, alleging Russia of interfering 2016 US President election and help Mr. Donald Trump to win his administration.
As the US-China trade war is ongoing, China is turning to its old foe, Japan, for trade tie and creating peace in the Northeastern Asia or the Korean Peninsula region.
For NATO, its "Trident Juncture 18" has involved 31 countries with 50,000 troops, tanks, air forces, and other type of vehicles in the training as well as sniper training until the 23rd of November 2018 in Norway, North Sea and Baltic Sea during freezing temperature which start training from Baltic sea toward Iceland. It is the biggest military exercise since 1980s that has been military combat in Norway.
In regards to central America's migrants, thousands of migrants from Honduras, El Savador and Guatemala that are walking toward the US who are currently in Mexico said that their destination is the United States of America.
While they are in Mexico, Mexican government have announce that temporary work permits will be given to those who have already registered as refugees, their family can access to health care and their children can attend school.
UNICEF the United Nations Children's Fund who is responsible for global children life, well-being, development and education or children's rights said that there are about 2,000 children sick and dehydrated. It urged the Mexican government to provide health care, clean water, hygiene products and food to be supplied for these children who caravaned with their family heading towards the US.
According to Reuters report, Honduran authorities said that its 4,500 citizens who joined this caravan has been returned.
However, US President Donald Trump has already order 800 of US troops to be ready at US-Mexico border saying that the US will not let this caravan enter into the US.
While the new talk between it super power nations China-Japan could indicate peace, collaboration, prosperity and multilateral benefits for the Northeastern Asia region. #
