Is it possible to win gold medal with just 4 months training? Yes Hmong Bruce Lee is a living proof.

The man with a pseudo nam as "TawbKoj TsisTxawjDhuav (Never tire of courting you) aka Hmong Bruce Lee is actually Mr. Ter Xiong or Mr. NengKhua PaoXiong Chue.

He is one of many Laotians who attend training at Shaolin Temple in China for 4 months.

Mr. Ter Xiong said that he was chosen to present his National Physical Activity College.

After the training, the interpreter told him and his Laotian team that there will be the 12th Zhengzhou China  International Shaolin Kungfu Festival, therefore, he and his Lao team have decide to join the competition though it is not officially orgnised by Lao officials.

Mr. Xiong said that it is an honor to be selected to participate with this training in Chinese prestigious Shaolin Temple to represent his country in this competition and win gold medal not just for himself but realizing his dream and its is also a win for Hmong community and Laos.

First day competition medal presentation for Shaolin Qixingquan catogory:



Mr. Ter Xiong has competed in three different categories. The first is Shaolin Shinshin Chuan which he got gold medal. He received bronze in Shaolin Chuan which I displayed Chinese spear and in team event, Lao got bronze as well. However, the medals are running out and they just got certificates instead.

This competition is just a chance came by, not an organised event by the Lao officials, he and his Laotian team of 17 (Shaolin and Taichi) decided to join the competition anyway and they have won 7 golds, 12 silvers and and 20 bronzes. 

He said that he don't know much about this competition or Chinese martial arts. He loves watching Chinese action movie on television and just train by himself.

He has also made a short action movie mimic Bruce Lee character and finally got his pseudo name as Bruce Lee Hmong. Mr. Xiong said that if he is sponsored by film industry he would also like to take a role.

He has never thought that one day chance came by and he would represent his country and win gold. Mr. Ter Xiong would like to thanks for this opportunity and thanks for what he has accomplished. 

Mr. Xiong is also a teacher who has taught physical activity at the National Physical Activity College.  He said that learning and practicing kungfu is a way of exercise that keep us healthy and strong. If anyone are interested to learn, he is willing to teach what he knows and what he has learnt. 

This is not the last competition and he wish to enter next competition but need to train harder.#
