How can I find and listen to SBS Indonesian radio program from my phone?

Hundreds of on demand radio programs and podcasts are available in Indonesian for free from around the world and most of them can be heard on your smartphone.

Listening to a podcast is simple. You just need the internet and a podcast listening app on your phone. Then you can choose a podcast from many topics, as well as programs developed all over the world in different languages.

 

If you are an iPhone or iPad user, you can listen by using the Apple Podcasts app.

The Apple Podcasts app is available on your iPhone.

1. Open the Apple Podcasts app (with a purple icon) and go to the search page by clicking on the magnifying glass button at the bottom of the screen.
2. A search box should appear at the top, next to the magnifying glass icon. Click there and type the name of the podcast you want to find, for example: SBS Indonesian
3. Press the word "Enter" on the keyboard.
4. Choose the podcast you want from the search results and click on it to take you to the home page of your chosen podcast.
5. Once you've entered the podcast homepage, you'll see a list of the last episodes. Click on one to play it.
6. If you like what you hear, the Subscribe button at the top of the page allows you to subscribe to podcast for free. This means the app will automatically download the latest episodes to your library.

If you have an Android phone, you can use the Google Podcasts app to listen.

You can download the Google podcasts app for free from the Play Store on your phone.

1. Once the app opens, use the search box (search for the magnifying glass icon) and type the name of the podcast you want to find like: SBS Indonesian
2. Choose the podcast you want from the search results and click on it again. This should take you to the home page of the podcast.
3. On the home page of the podcast, you will see a list of the latest episodes. Press one to play it.
4. If you like it, click the Subscribe button at the top of the page. When you subscribe to a podcast, it will appear at the top of the Google Podcasts app page and a new section of the screen in the app will let you know the new episodes coming out of the podcast that you have subscribed to.
