The committee chairman, Ferdy Mauboy said that this event is aimed to support the people of Palu and Donggala in Central Sulawesi Province who have been badly affected by a devastating earthquake and tsunami since Friday, 28 September 2018.
“On behalf of the Committee, I would like to invite all Territorians to join hands together to support our friends in Indonesia who have been going through a recent natural disaster.
The committee also provides an opportunity for any individual or business who or which would like to donate money or items for the use during the charity event. We will also sell food and drinks on that evening”, Ferdy added.
The Consulate of the Republic of Indonesia in Darwin acknowledges the initiatives of the Indonesian Community in the Northern Territory to organise this charity event and is ready to provide assistance.
