The launching witnessed by about 30 invited guests attended by the Indonesian Consul General in Sydney, Heru Hartanto Subolo and his wife, Sinta Subolo as the guests of honor. Also present were Magdaline Shenton-Kaleido as Team Leader, Emerging Communities of the Advance Diversity Services (ADS).

"In my note, there are currently over 10 Indonesian arts and cultural organisations in New South Wales. The presence of IACC will be a new forum to strengthen Indonesia's promotion, especially Indonesian art and culture in Australia", said Consul General Subolo in his speech.

IACC is a newly formed Indonesian arts and cultural organisation with ADS management support, and has received funding support from Bayside Council and South Eastern Sydney Local Health District for its future activities. Appointed as IACC Chairman is Theresia Tomahu, an Indonesian diaspora who is also a singer. ADS itself is a nonprofit organisation in Rockdale that provides services to help new migrants who want to settle in Australia by providing information on Australia's culture, law, health, education, and multicultural way of life.

"I want to underline the importance of collaboration and inclusiveness. I encourage the IACC to collaborate with similar organisations in promoting Indonesian art and culture in Australia. Collaboration, not competition, can have a wider impact in bringing Indonesia into the midst of Australian society, "said Consul General Heru Subolo.

In line with Mr Subolo's message, Magdaline from ADS in his speech confirmed that IACC will be an Indonesian art and cultural club open to everyone who wants to participate both to develop their talents and to learn about Indonesian art and culture.
