Prime Minister Scott Morrison says Australia can take a stance on its Israeli embassy because it was good ties with its neighbours.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison says he believes Australia can take a stance on issues - such as moving its Israeli embassy to Jerusalem - because it has good relationships with neighbouring nations.

"You've got to just stand up for what you believe," he told Sky News on Tuesday night.

"You can do that when you have good relationships with your neighbours, which we do."
