Anxiety becomes Australia's most common mental health issue

Mental health organisation "Beyond Blue" polled 14,000 people for its survey and is releasing the results for National Mental Health Week.


A survey of mental health awareness suggests two-thirds of Australians believe depression is the country's most common mental health issue.

But chronic anxiety is actually twice as prevalent, with an estimated two million Australians suffering from that condition.
