The troubled Arrium steelworks in the South Australian city of Whyalla has been sold to a British corporation following a last-minute bid.
The Arrium deal still needs the approval of the foreign investment regulator, but both state and federal governments are already celebrating a win that will likely secure the jobs of thousands of steel workers.
