More than 100 former and current staff of Australia's offshore immigration detention centres on Nauru and Manus Island are urging the federal government to close the facilities.The move follows new allegations of abuse of detainees on Nauru and on Manus Island.


Immigration Minister Peter Dutton and Papua New Guinea prime minister Peter O'Neill have met later in Port Moresby in talks to close the Manus Island centre.
