The city of Melbourne and the city of Bandung have once again strengthened their relationship as sister cities by signing a new memorandum of understanding.

On 22 April 2024, the two delegations met at Melbourne Town Hall. Also present was the mayor of Melbourne, Lord Sally Capp.

However, the acting mayor of Bandung, Mr. Bambang Tirtomulyo, was unable to attend and represented by Mr. Eric Mohammad Atthauriq, SH, Assistant for Economy and Development at the Bandung City Regional Secretariat.

SBS Indonesian had the opportunity to interview with Lord Mayor Sally and Mr Eric.

We'll be looking at the systems processes and platforms that bandung has used to promote the profile entrepreneurialism into big successful business. We also recognise the advances that the city of Bandung has made in smart city technology for better managing the city to make it more efficient
