Sydney’s inner-city suburb of Redfern has a long history of tense relations between Traditional Owners and the police.

Ten years ago the community set about repairing that fractured relationship, with a program to empower its disenfranchised youth to choose a better path.

The Clean Slate without Prejudice initiative has been running for a decade. It started with a handful of police officers and young offenders, boxing out frustrations.
