Premier Daniel Andrews says he understands the news is difficult to hear for many Victorians


Victoria has extended its stage four lockdown restrictions by two weeks beyond its original September 14 deadline.

Restrictions in Melbourne and regional Victoria will then be lifted in five stages at different paces.

A final COVID-normal step will be implemented when there are no new cases recorded in the state in 28 days.
