Australia has signed its largest trade deal, an agreement eight years in the making, involving 14 other Asia-Pacific countries. Australian businesses, universities and healthcare providers are set to benefit from the agreement known as RCEP.


In April this year, China's ambassador announced a consumer boycott against Australian goods. That was followed by China imposing tariffs on Australian goods including barley and disruptions in agricultural and resource exports.
