The latest Census data shows one community in Australia has increased more than four-fold over the past five years.


Since 2011, the Chin community in Australia has more than quadrupled. Other ethnic communities have also experienced significant growth. The Monogolian community has more than tripled, as has the number of Punjabi Australians. Hazara and Bhutanese communities have more than doubled. Most of these ethnic groups grew from very small groups.
