One of the largest COVID-19 immunisation drives in the world is about to be rolled out in India, where COVID-19 has infected over 10 million and claimed nearly 150,000 lives. The USA is trying to increase its vaccination rate after the Christmas-New Year break.


Zimbabwe imposes an immediate national lockdown, and the UK faces calls to do the same. Meanwhile, the Pope has been critical about some peoples’ priorities over the holiday period.
