Kala Nritya Dance Group was one of the participants in the Mahasuara event held by PERWARA on May 2, 2026 in Melbourne. With that Jaipongan and Bokong Semok dance performance.

Kala Nritya Dance Group was one of the participants in the Mahasuara event held by PERWARA on May 2, 2026 in Melbourne. With that Jaipongan and Bokong Semok dance performance.


Darlina Firstama is one of the members of the five-woman Kala Nritya dance group. They drew Jaipongan dance from Sundanese areas but that doesn't mean the group doesn't perform dances from other areas.

What made Darlina interested in dancing? For Darlina Firstama, dancing was about motivating herself to keep moving. In addition, it also helps members of his family who have dementia to keep moving. According to him, Jaipongan whose cheerful music makes people want to move. The jam can also reduce stress.
