It is a major win for free speech, new defamation laws have come into effect in four states yesterday.


New defamation laws have come into effect in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and South Australia from the 1st of July and other jurisdictions will follow suit later this year, but what does this legislation mean and will we see more courageous journalism?
