NAIDOC Week 2024 from 07 – 12 July has the theme, Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud and Proud. What does it mean? And what is NAIDOC Week all about?


Dr. Paul Thomas, a Deakin University lecturer in Indonesian Studies and historian behind the book "Talking North," joins SBS Indonesian to discuss NAIDOC Week 2024.

He sheds light on the meaning of this year's theme, shares his insights on Indigenous cultures and lives, and offers advice for non-Indigenous Australians how they can build deeper understanding and connection.
