Frontline medical workers say many Australians are missing out on the opportunity to receive potentially life-saving COVID-19 treatment because they are unaware of its availability.

Community doctors and pharmacists say it's caused by a lack of awareness about antiviral drugs.
This is a problem across Australia's very diverse community.
Antiviral drugs are available to anyone over the age of 70 or with an underlying health condition. The drug can reduce COVID-19 symptoms by up to 80 percent - if taken on time.
That is why awareness is so important. Community doctors and pharmacists are calling on the government to start outreach programs targeting multicultural communities.
The Ministry of Health said the Campaign is currently "being translated into 32 languages on radio, social media and digital channels." The Deputy Chief Medical Officer has "spoke directly to multicultural-focused media."
