People celebrate Fathers’ Day at different times across the world but there is a common aim of showing respect and appreciation for the bond between us and our fathers. But some elements of that bond appear to be changing.


Relationships between Indonesians and their fathers seem to be getting closer, less formal and more open. Dr Anita Dewi, Learning Skills Advisor and Research and Learning Co-ordinator at Monash University Library, explains why the nature of the child father relationship may have changed for Indonesians.
