The 2026 Nongkrong Festival will feature a Sunset Fair at Federation Square in Melbourne on February 14th. Among the performers will be Indonesian musician Candra Nazarudin Darusman, who will perform several songs with a Melbourne band Lemes.

For nearly five decades, Candra Darusman has been involved in music, whether as a singer, songwriter, or producer. However, having collaborated with and interacted with numerous Indonesian singers and artists, he is also deeply concerned with copyright, the welfare, and the development of Indonesian musicians.

In an interview with SBS Indonesian, Candra also discussed the development of jazz music, which he considers quite resilient, having survived despite being considered a minority group.

For the future, Candra Darusman's focus will not only be on music but also on innovation and creativity, which are of course related to the economy. He has outlined these ideas in his second book, Invincible Cycle.
