Gendered violence: How to ensure the most vulnerable are protected

At a recent rally held in Canberra to protest gendered violence, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese made his position clear. That Australia need to address gendered violence in a serious way. People who try escaping domestic violence can access an emergency payment of $5,000.


Kate Walton, an activist of women rights explained to SBS Indonesian that half of the women trying to access the payment failed to complete the process.  She emphasized the government must address the roots of this problem.
