The Trade Minister, Simon Birmingham, has accused China of targeting Australia with import bans and tariffs on Australian goods.
With the trade stoush between Beijing and Canberra continuing, Minister Birmingham will again take a trade dispute over barley tariffs - imposed by China - to the World Trade Organisation.
And its passing is likely to stoke further animosity - leaving Australian industries caught in the crossfire.
