Melbourne City may have dominated the first half of the game but it was Sydney FC that once again won the championship.


In the A-League Grand Final on Sunday, 30 August 2020, Sydney FC won the championship back to back.  If last year’s championship was decided by penalty, this year it was won by an extraordinary goal from Ryan Grant which won him the Joe Marston medal

Robbie Gaspar was the first Australian to play professionally in Indonesia and is now Player Development and Transition Manager for the Professional Footballers Association, explains to SBS how Sydney FC’s experience won them another A-League Grand Final.
