The Incinerator Art Award and exhibition was conducted. From 28 August – 01 November 2020 with the theme “Art for Social Change.” Jayanto Lie‘s ceramic entry entitled “La Familia –The Family” was a shortlisted finalist.
Jayanto Lie is an Indonesian of Sumatran and Chinese heritage who lives in Sydney. He explains how his beautiful, simple, white ceramic representations of family artefacts symbolise the need to eradicate the shame and exclusion experienced by minorities.
