Through the research that he and his colleague did, Dr Alexander Soeriyadi has found a technology that could increase the productivity of agricultural products. His hope is that the technology can be useful for Australian and Indonesian agriculture.

Knowing that plants need a certain spectrum of light to grow efficiently, Dr Alexander Soeriyadi conducted research and succeeded in finding a new technology to create a medium that can convert sunlight into a certain desired colour spectrum. He said that this measure can improve plant yields.

The former researcher at UNSW now runs a technology and product development business focused on agriculture in Australia, which he and a colleague started in 2018.
Currently, his invention has two patents and he also received the 2022 Australia Indonesia Awards in the field of Innovation last month.
