Since Monday there has been an increase in the number of people killed, injured and missing after the eruption of Mount Semeru last Saturday. For a time on Monday search and rescue efforts were suspended because of poor conditions. What has been the impact on the local population?


Agus Utomo a volunteer currently working in the disaster area Sumber Mujur.  He describes the current situation, and reports on the mental and physical welfare of evacuees.  Agus also explains to Sri Dean why there may be a change in approach to looking for evacuees.
