Striving for the world peace is the focus of Catholic Church in this year's Easter celebration. How does this manifest itself for the wider community?

Fr Aloysius Lamere MSC is the Parish Priest of St Thomas The Apostle Church in Melbourne. He shared his unique experience as a priest originally from Indonesia serving the local community in Australia, especially given the strong secularisation of the country.
Father Alo — as he is usually refer to — also spoke to SBS Indonesian about the church's focus for Easter this year. He emphasised the importance of prayer and small actions we can take to promote peace around us.
"It's quite difficult for us to face the world at war like this," Father Alo said. "But we continue to raise our moral voice for world peace, through our prayers as one of the ways."
