Irrigating Takarai Village with Solar Chapter

Solar Chapter is a nonprofit organization that has a primary vision to address the clean water crisis in East Nusa Tenggara Province.

Dilail Abimanyu from SBS Indonesian had the opportunity to speak with representatives from Solar Chapter Melbourne.

There is Teresa Tamika Tjahjadi as President of Solar Chapter Melbourne 2024/2025. Ayu Shintya Dewi is Head of Public Relations and Marketing. And Mayvellyn Nurimba who became Public Relations and Marketing Officer.

This year Solar Chapter Melbourne has a project called “Water for Takarai” where they help residents of Takarai village in East Nusa Tenggara overcome the difficulties of getting clean water in the village.

Currently, Solar Chapter Melbourne is conducting fundraising activities through platforms such as Kitabisa.com and gofund.me.

And later in the year they plan to hold a “Run for Takarai” Event to raise funds for the Water for Takarai project by Solar Chapter Melbourne.

All registration fees will be fully donated to the Water for Takarai project, and the farther the running distance, the more donations will be made by runners. It is

targeted that between November and December funds have been raised and could soon implement a water project for Takarai in January 2025.
