Is AstarZeneca vaccine problematic?

AstraZeneca, COVID-19 vaccine roll out, blood clots

Source: AAP

A man has been admitted to a Victorian hospital with blood clots after receiving the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine.

Health authorities say it's unclear whether the man's clots are related to the vaccine AstraZeneca.

The Therapeutic Goods Administration has been in contact with international health experts to determine which groups of citizens may be at risk of developing blood clots after receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine.

Similar concerns were sparked in Europe, leading to a temporary ban of the dose in dozens of countries - but Australian health experts maintain the AstraZeneca vaccine is safe.
