Is post-quantum computing the ultimate weapon for cybersecurity?

It is estimated that around 2030 we will need post-quantum computing. The question now is why so? Apart from that, are we ready to build post-quantum computing? What about the personnel? And what skills are required?


Muhammad Arzaki is a PhD student at Dept. of Software Systems and Cybersecurity, Faculty of Information Technology at Monash University. He explained to SBS Indonesian the differences between quantum computing and post-quantum computing, as well as the importance of the ability to master mathematics, especially Algebra, in securing data which is part of cyber security.
