Australia Day, 26 January, can be many things for many people. Therefore, those who are migrants or non-Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people are often in doubt as to how to place themselves and to act in this situation.


The theme for Australia Day 2025 is “Reflect, Respect and Celebrate”. To help us to understand this theme and to learn more about Australia’s First Nations, SBS Indonesian invited Kerri-Lee Harding, SBS Indigenous Lead, to share an Indigenous perspective on 26 January.
