Liza Saerang, committed to keeping Indonesia’s cultural heritage alive, even though she is thousands of kilometers away from the homeland.
Liza Saerang, moving abroad and settling in Australia has never diminished her love for Indonesia. Far from her homeland, she has made Balinese dance a bridge for introducing the richness of Indonesian culture to the Australian community.
Her passion for Balinese dance began at an early age. Since childhood, she has studied and performed a variety of traditional Balinese dances. These experiences shaped her into a dedicated dancer who not only mastered the movements but also understood the philosophy, values, and cultural significance behind every performance.

Seeing the enthusiasm of Australian audiences, brings her immense joy. Every smile, round of applause, and curious question after a performance inspires her to continue sharing Indonesia's rich cultural heritage with the world.
Balinese dance has taught me so much. It has taught me discipline and reminded me where I came from.Liza Saerang
As a mother, she also hopes that Indonesian children growing up overseas will remain connected to their cultural roots. She wants them to take pride in their Indonesian identity and understand that culture is a precious legacy that should be preserved and celebrated.
Through her lifelong dedication to Balinese dance from her childhood in Indonesia, to her life in Australia she demonstrates that love for one's homeland knows no borders. Every graceful movement she performs is not only an artistic expression but also a message of friendship, cultural pride, and enduring love for Indonesia.
