The Federal Government will tighten restrictions around online gambling, one of which is to draft legislation to ban the use of credit cards to pay for bets.
The ban on the use of credit cards for such online gambling already has the support of the gambling industry, but campaigners want swift action and stronger safeguards.
But the number of ads the industry attributes to Australian sport is a key issue in its reformulation.
