People take their own lives for diverse reasons. We can help by learning to recognise the symptoms of potential suicide and through active listening.


Recently there was a cluster of suicides among South Asian women living in Whittlesea due to abuse and isolation. There are fears that  the events of 2020 may increase the incidence of suicide.  What are the simple strategies that we as individuals can apply to help prevent suicide and self-harm? Practising psychologist Ratih Arruum Listiyandini explains.
