The MDAA Community Connectors Program is government funded support ptogram provided free of charge to anyone from a multinultural background diagnosed with a disability

Elizabeth Wibowo, Community Connertor's Officer from government assistance program for people with disabilities with multicultural backgrounds, Multicultural Disability Advocacy Association of NSW (MDAA).

The Australian Government created the Community Connector Program to offer free support to the CALD community in accessing NDIS and other disability support.

"NDIS National Community Connectors Program you support and it gives you choice and control on what support you need giving you more independence, able to participate with your community."

Statistics show that many eligible participants from the CALD community still have not accessed NDIS services due to language barriers and a lack of understanding of the NDIS system and its benefits.
Therefore, as a community liaison, we would like to offer your community and your family who are experiencing difficulties due to medical conditions or inability to access NDIS.

"As one of the organisations chosen to implement the NDIS program, MDAA's main aim is to promote, protect and secure the rights and interests of all people with disability in New South Wales," - Elizabeth Wibowo explained.  "Apart from that, MDAA can also provide support to those who may not be eligible for NDIS or old NDIS participants who are not satisfied with their current NDIS package. Please note that our support is 100% free and available to all non-English speaking communities".

As community liaisons, their primary role is to promote this support to a broader community.

The program includes 4 LGAs: Parramatta, Liverpool, Fairfield, and Cumberland. However, it is not just limited to supporting individuals in this LGA.

The MDAA team is a multicultural and multilingual team trained in a culturally competent manner. They welcome your feedback and suggestions on their outreach program.
