Indonesia's 79th Independence Day Celebration in Australia

August 17, 2024, Indonesian celebrate the 79th anniversary of the proclamation of the independence of the Republic of Indonesia, including those who live in Australia.

In Melbourne, Indonesian have filled the front yard of the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia since morning to attend the flag ceremony for the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.

In addition to the Consulate General, the raising of the red and white flag was also carried out at the Federation Square. Not only the raising, the Paskibra members also held a parade in line formation.

Indonesians in Sydney also held a ceremony on August 17 at Brereton Place, Kensington Park. In addition to the ceremony, various interesting competitions were held such as tug of war, marble racing and sack racing.
