A neighbour, shot dead during an ambush at a rural property in Queensland, has been farewelled by loved ones at a private funeral.
Fifty-eight year-old Alan Dare is being remembered as a local hero, after he and two police officers were killed during a violent attack in Queensland's rural Western Downs region.
