NAIDOC's theme this year is 'For Our Elders'.

NAIDOC is celebrated to commemorate Aboriginal knowledge and culture owners, pioneers, teachers, leaders, and survivors who have laid the foundation for future generations.

More than 40 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander speaking areas are represented in the Shaped by the Sea exhibition, at the Australian National Maritime Museum in Sydney.

It is a capsule of knowledge, created in collaboration between First Nations curators, Elders, and communities.
